Privacy Policy
This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit tregor.org, for which purposes, on which legal basis, and which rights you have. It is based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which applies to the operator of this website as a company established in Belgium. For visitors in Canada, we apply the same standards of transparency and consent that Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and Canada's anti-spam legislation, CASL) requires, including express opt-in consent for email updates.

2. Which personal data we process
- When you visit the website: IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, pages viewed, and date, time and duration of the visit. These are processed through server logs.
- When you subscribe to the email updates: your email address, the consent wording you accepted and the date and time of your consent.
- When you contact us by email: your email address, name if you provide it, and the content of your message.
We never ask for and never process: Social Insurance Numbers, tax return contents, income details, CRA account credentials or banking information. Please do not send such data to us; if we receive it unrequested, we delete it.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Operating and securing the website (server logs): legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Sending the optional email updates: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, for Canadian recipients, express consent within the meaning of CASL. You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to support@tregor.org.
- Answering contact requests: legitimate interest and, where applicable, steps prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
- Reach measurement and advertising cookies, if any: only with your consent given via the cookie banner, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
4. Retention periods
- Server logs: deleted or anonymized after a maximum of 12 months.
- Newsletter data: stored until you unsubscribe, then removed from the distribution list; proof of consent may be retained as long as legally required.
- Contact correspondence: deleted no later than 24 months after the last exchange, unless a longer statutory retention period applies.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser; this website also uses the browser's localStorage for one strictly necessary purpose.
Strictly necessary storage
Your cookie choice itself is saved in localStorage (key "tg-cookie-consent") together with the date of your decision, so the banner does not reappear on every page view. This is required for the site to respect your choice and needs no consent.
Optional advertising and measurement cookies
This page can be reached through advertising on external platforms. If you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner, advertising partners whose network brought you here (for example a Taboola tracking pixel) may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure the reach and performance of their placements. These technologies are only activated after your consent and typically expire after 90 to 180 days, depending on the provider.
Managing your choice
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing this website's data in your browser settings, after which the banner is shown again. You can also block or delete cookies entirely in your browser.
6. Recipients of data
We share personal data only with:
- our hosting provider, which processes server data on our behalf;
- the email delivery provider used for the optional updates, acting on our behalf;
- advertising networks such as Taboola, only where you consented to their cookies as described in section 5;
- competent authorities, where we are legally obliged to do so.
We do not sell personal data.
7. Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have data erased ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- withdraw any consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@tregor.org. Comparable access and correction rights exist for Canadian visitors under PIPEDA and can be exercised the same way.
8. International data transfers
Our own processing takes place within the European Economic Area. Where a service provider (for example an advertising network) processes data outside the EEA, the transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
9. Complaints
You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données):
- Rue de la Presse 35 / Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
- Phone: +32 (0)2 274 48 00
- Email: contact@apd-gba.be
- Website: dataprotectionauthority.be
Visitors in Canada can additionally contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada: priv.gc.ca.
10. Changes to this policy
Play Group B.V. may update this privacy policy, for example when the website's features or legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
